Conference match between Dartford and Braintree where the home side looks to grab a win which would be significant as they fight to get out of the relegation zone. The hosts are on the 21st spot with 23 points and are trailing Southport by 4 points. They are not playing well at all as they are among the worst efficient teams in the league with 26 scored goals (of which only 10 were on the road). At home Dartford have struggled to find a win since 11th of November when they defeated Welling 2-1. They are horrific defensively, especially at home where they conceded at least one goal in every match this season. Today against Braintree they could see an end to that negative streak as visitors haven't played well on away matches for quite some tome (4 losses and 1 win in the last five road games). Braintree scored only 3 goals in their last five road outings, all of those against Telford in a 3-1 victory. However, both teams were victorious last weekend as Dartford defeated Wrehxam 3-1 while Braintree won 2-0 at home against Torquay. Good performances last week means that confidence will be high within both teams and imperative of getting a win here should give them an extra motive too.
These two teams met six times over the past three seasons and none of those clashes finished with more than 2 goals. I think the tradition is set to continue because neither Dartford nor Braintree look as they could score too many goals on each others.
