Derby vs Norwich by Gaz12321

Derby
VS
Norwich
Derby welcome Norwich in the Championship after their midweek Carling Cup defeat to high flying Chelsea looking to get their promotion challenge back on the right track after suffering 2 defeats in their last 3 league games. The 2 recent defeats have come on the road and their home form remains solid having taken 21 points so far from their 10 games. Norwich started the season in fantastic form but went off the boil with a run of just 1 win from 11 league games, but back to back wins including a 5-0 thumping of Huddersfield last time out will boost the confidence of the travelling side for this tricky tie.

I fancy Derby to win this but am concerned about their midweek exploits and therefore have taken what I feel as a safer route to go for goals, these 2 are among the leagues highest scorers with Derby having found the net 38 times in 21 games and Norwich scoring 35 times, both sides like to get on the front foot and are vulnerable at the back as shown by Derby having shipped an average of a goal a game and Norwich shipping 24 goals in 21 games.

With the likes of Chris Martin for Derby, Cameron Jerome and Nathan Redmond for Norwich this is likely to be an open game with plenty of chances. Both sides have an average of 2.81 goals per game in the Championship which is quite high for a league that doesn't have a massive reputation for goals but does throw up plenty of overs games. Both sides have higher than a 50% success rate in the over 2.5 market in league games and with the frequency that both sides score I think that odds of 2.20 for over 2.5 goals and both teams to score at bet365 represents very decent value, and this is my pick for this game.pin
