Patriots vs Miami Dolphins by Lloyds

The Patriots host their division rivals, Miami Dolphins, as they look to hold on to the first spot in the AFC. They had a good game against San Diego (23-14 victory) which helped them bounce back after a loss against Green Bay, two week ago. The Dolphins disappointed, yet again, against Baltimore at home (28-13 loss) and now stand at 7-6 record but with really small chances of making the playoffs. It's rather unrealistic for them to look for a win against the Patriots who are 6-0 at home and just a better team.

The Chargers game was probably the last "serious" match that New England could have lost so I don't expect them to lose till the end of the season as their schedule is not difficult. The Patriots now established themselves as among the best defensive teams in the league, along with having Tom Brady and a great offense, mostly because their secondary is playing at a high level. Darrelle Revis is capable of shutting down any Miami's receivers so I don't reckon Dolphins offense will score many points trough passing game. Irony in all this is Miami was one of the 3 teams who defeated the Patriots this season (33-20 win in the season opener) but it's highly unlikely for that to happen again. New England are just too strong especially when playing at home, in Foxboro. Last time they lost at home was back in 2013, in the AFC Championship game against the Ravens. This season, at home, they have beaten their opponents by an average of 18.3 points.

The Patriots are so mighty at home that most of their games finish even before the halftime. I think home side will be even motivated to get a revenge for the loss they suffered at the beginning of the season so expect a strong start from them in today's match against the inconsistent Dolphins. pin
