Atletico Madrid vs Villarreal by Gaz12321
Villareal arrive in Madrid in fine form with a 2-0 away win midweek against Apollon in the Europa League following up on a deserved and impressive 4-0 home triumph over David Moyes' Real Sociedad. 3 clean sheets from their last 5 games in all competitions shows that they are a tight defensive unit. The 2 meetings between these sides last season ended 1-0 at Vicente Calderon to the hosts and a 1-1 draw at El Madrigal.
Atleti continue without the services of Mario Suarez as they have for much of the season while Miranda is unlikely to feature again as he continues to recover from his injury setback, although Gimenez has done a good job in his absence. Villareal continue without Musacchio & Jokic through injury and also have Giovani once again missing from their strike force, Vietto and Gerard are both doubtful as well which could leave them very light up top.
I expect this to be a tight and cagey affair and the longer it goes without a goal, the more cagey it will get. Both sides will set out with the mentality to contain each other and hit on the break and despite the vast talent in attacking positions it's highly unlikely to see an open game here. My pick for this game is under 2.5 goals at 1.83 with Bet Victor.
