Kaiserslautern II vs Mannheim by Dajkula

Kaiserslautern II welcomes Waldhof Mannheim in the postponed match of the 20`th round of Regionalliga Sudwest. It is the last match before the winter break so both teams have something to aspire to. The hosts who are in decent run of late are hoping to slash the gap to second place(which means promotion) to 7 points while the guests want to make some distance from the relegation places.

Kaiserslautern II is on 4`th place with 33 points but big 16 behind the leaders. Their season has started great but has been up and down in the last months. With the last 3 wins they have picked some momentum it seems and will end the half season proper.

The guests are on 11`th place with 26 points. Manheim has been quite erratic with their results all season long but do much better on home ground. Their away form is 2-2-4 with 9:9 goal difference but they also played 3 matches more at home so the situation could be worse in the second part of the season. Manheim has won some away matches but it should be said they won over Koblenz 1:2 (17`th),Pirmasens 0:3(15`th) and drew with Zweibrucken 1:1(16`th). They lost against stronger teams and Kaiserslauteren is a stronger team.

In the 6 mutual matches these teams played Kaiserslautern has won 4 and drew 2 so they seem to have the upper hand. All 3 at home were won.

At first glance I didn`t care much for this bet but have found some info that is interesting.

Both teams have important absences for this match but the hosts are better of.

Kaiserslautern II is missing for this match injured:" Irvin Raul Parra(mid.10-2), Christopher Kracun(mid.2-0), Calogero Rizzuto(def.15-1), Michael Schultz(def.7-1), Jan-Ole Sievers(keeper 0-0) and Florian Riedel(def.2-0) while Marco Metzger(def.9-1) is suspended".

Parra is longterm injured while the big misses are Rizzuto and Metzger who are regulars.

It is not so good for the hosts but the situation in the away camp is even worse as missing are:"captain Robin Neupert (def.13-0), Nico Seegert (mid.3-0), Christian Mühlbauer (def.16-0), Lutz Radojewski (def. 14-2),Yannick Tewelde (mid.3-0), Steffen Straub(mid.18-2), Di Gregorio(mid.16 -2)and Marcel Sokler(att.17-7). Midfielder Philip Försters(9-3) is questionable. So out is half of the regular players of the away team.

If Manheim can avoid defeat here then hats off to them.

nice preview !
thing is that the last game Mannheim played also without these players except DiGregorio and they won against 3rd team in the league... let's hope that was a game where the new guys just over push themselves and they are not that good.
Normally in away games they are not so determined.
good luck !
