Chicago Bulls vs Portland by Lloyds

Portland failed to extend their winning streak two nights ago when they played at Minnesota. They played poorly scoring only 82 points against Timberwolves, who are probably the worst team in the Western Conference given the fact that their main players were out due to injuries. Despite all those circumstances the Trailblazers scored only 51 points in 3 quarters and shot only 38.8% from the field. Tonight they'll face Chicago which presents a much bigger challenge than Minnesota.

The Bulls are among the best teams in the East (13-8) but they aren't playing well in front of their fans. Chicago are 3-5 at United Center but a 105-80 win over Brooklyn, two nights ago, could mean that record won't last long. Derrick Rose finally looks fit and sharp,as he scored 23 points against the Nets, so I expect him to contain Damian Lillard tonight. Chicago's strong frontcourt will also slow down Lamarcus Aldridge, who is Portland's most important player. The Trailblazers are 7-3 on the road so far but majority of those wins came against the weak Eastern Conference opponents. They aren't playing any kind of special basketball which is why I believe Chicago's bench will be the important factor tonight. Portland do not have any particularly good players on the bench while Bulls on the other side have huge depth.

The hosts will definitely seek to avoid dropping another home game to an Western Conference playoff contender so expect them to play motivated.
