Dallas Stars vs Winnipeg Jets by 20legend
After suffering badly in terms of getting results, Dallas has now won four of their five latest games at home ice (4-0-1). Things did look a whole lot better in their last game against Montreal Canadians (4-1 win), than the three previous losses on the road. Their center, Tyler Seguin (21 goals, 14 assists), is in a majestic form at the moment and is now tied with Sidney Crosby (9 goals, 26 assists) as the overall leader in points with 35 points in the league. Dallas Stars will now seek for another win straight away in order to keep on track. The coach will not change his lineups for tonight’s game, which means that goaltender Kari Lethonen (GAA 3.03, SV% .904) will start tonight as well.
Winnipeg Jets did lose in overtime against Anaheim Ducks (3-4) in their last match. It was a good fight from them as they came from behind twice. However, their important left-wing Evander Kane will not play tonight after being punished for boarding against the Ducks. This means that the Jets needs to shuffle their lines and Mathieu Perrault, center Mark Schiefele and right wing Michael Frolik will make the second line in Kane’s absence tonight. TJ Galiardi is also missing out. In addition to that, 2nd goaltender Michael Hutchinson (GAA 1.62, SV% .943) will get his 10th start of the season.
I certainly think that Dallas Stars will continue their momentum which they build up at home in the last five games and take another win tonight. Dallas has got some results at home, while away from home is now the main problem. The Jets will miss out Evander Kane’s important contributions for the team in terms of his physical approach. With Seguin playing like he does as well, the Jets will have to find another way of stopping him, but I think it will simply be too diffcult tonight. Another choice could be over 5.5 goals, but I will go for the home win tonight.
