Detroit Pistons vs Portland by Rahul
Portland have really clicked into the rhythm offensively and been averaging 101 points per game with the only low scoring game in their recent run under 103 points was in the game against Indiana. 103 is incidentally what they have been averaging through out the campaign. Its very easy to see why that is the case as they have a starting 5 who are all averaging double digits with the exception of Batum, who has also got back into scoring form averaging 12 points in his last 2 games. Their starters are the 2nd highest scoring team in the NBA at 77 points after the Cleveland Cavaliers at 80 points.
Aldridge has been in particularly outstanding form averaging around 23 points per game and has to shoulder bulk of the scoring as Lillard has been suffering with sprained fingers. Despite those sprained fingers he has still averaged around 21 points per game. The bench of the Blazers is one of the stronger ones in the NBA especially led with Kaman, Robinson and Blake. Portland are attempting around 26 three point shots per game, knocking down at least 10 a game.
In the last 5 games Detroit have been averaging around 104 points per game conceded against their opponents, and it just shows you how disinterested they are in, as their scoring defense has dropped. I clearly expect the Blazers to continue on their scoring run and knock over 102 points in this game against a poor Detroit side who are really down on their luck.
