BENFICA - BAYER LEVERKUSEN

In the Group C Bayer lead with 9 points followed by Monaco (8 p.), Zenit (7 p.) and Benfica (4 p.). With a win the Germans would see their first spot guaranteed. The Portuguese team are last in the group and they can not change their destiny not even with a victory.

Benfica will miss Luisao and Samaris, Bayer will be without Papadopoulos, Reinartz, Donati and Bender. The trainer of Benfica Jorge Jesus stated that the team will try to win even with many reserves.

Also Leverkusen should make some turnover but it is clear that the first place is very important to them, as they can then face a second placed team in the next stage. Moreover, by winning in Lisbon the German club would win more money from UEFA and also have the right to have a higher portion of money from TV rights next season when the percentages will be calculated on the base of the results obtained in the recent Champions League seasons.

Even with a draw, together with a draw also in Montecarlo, would guarantee them the first place, this is the reason why I select Bayer with Asian Handicap (Draw No Bet).
