Brooklyn vs Cleveland Cavs by Rahul
The Cavaliers have particularly been charged up themselves on the offensive end, with almost a full fit squad to choose from with the exception of Miller and Delladova. LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love make up most of the offense for the Cavaliers averaging 64 points amongst themselves of the 103 that the Cavaliers have been averaging for most of the campaign. In their recent run of 6 victories, they have been averaging 106 points per game, and have turn to the fact that they need to outscore other teams if they want to continue to win and also until their improve their defense significantly.
The Cavs rely a lot on the 3-ball averaging around 21 shots per game and making around 8 of them. they also have a very good efficiency with the ball shooting 47%, which is the 8th best in the NBA and overall this puts them in the top 5 in offensive efficiency taking all the stats into consideration.
The Brooklyn Nets have been a poor team for most of the season, but their games tend to be high scoring ones. Brooklyn tend to concede around 100 points per game In the last game that the Net played, they got shot out of the game by the Atlanta Hawks after managing a few close wins against the Knicks and the Spurs. In the big injury news Brook Lopez is not going to play after being out with an injury, while KG has been largely inconsistent this season leaving all the pressure on young Plumlee to handle the inside along with Teletovic; and both are not the best defensive players around.
If the Cavaliers want to win this game, they need to be hungry and need to outscore their opponents big time with plenty of scoring in the 1st half itself, to ease pressure on the 2nd half. I think they will do just that in order to secure a victory here by going over the 102.5 points that they have easily done in 5 out of their last 6 games.
