Nurnberg vs 1860 Munich by Dajkula
But maybe things will turn for the better in Nurnberg as they changed the coach two rounds ago. The new coach Rene Weiler started great as his team managed to win at home vs first Ingolstadt 2:1 which was Ingolstadt`s first loss in the league. Weiler was a bit dissapointed with a loss away to Braunschweig 0:1 but the team was not bad at all. The game was pretty level and Nurnberg even had more shots than the hosts. I would say an impact was made and Nurnberg welcomes Munich in good condition.
Nurnberg has 4-1-2 at home and has been preety tough against the best sides as they beat first Ingolstadt, second Kaiserslautern and 8`th Leipzig. What worries me is that among those wins they played just 2:2 against 17`th St.Pauli showing inconsistency.
This being a Bavarian-Frankish derby tensions will rise and is something that will add more pressure on the teams.
Munich 1860 is with 2 points less on the 16`th place on the table and things never really started going for them. Munich has only 1-2-4 at home but the stats are much better when playing away as they have 3-1-4. They demolished Bochum and Union Berlin in their last 2 away games but on the other hand managed to loose against botom placed Aue and Aalen. It seems everything goes with Munchen.
But besides the fact Nurnberg is a good host there is another thing that may point this game in the hosts direction. Munchen will today miss their main striker Okotie(14-10) because of injury and that is a big blow. He scored more than half of their goals and seems to be the only threat in the front. Others that miss are : Dominik Stahl, Stephan Hain, Wood and Rodri but are longterm.
The hosts miss Timo Gebhart (mid.6-1), Peniel Mlapa (att.11-1) and Javier Pinola(def.9-1).
Nurnberg is a big favorite and they should deliver today.
