Granada vs Valencia by Rahul

Valencia won their last six matches against Granada in all competitions; and will feel confident heading into this game as they sit in 5th spot taking on Granada who are 1 point above the drop zone so far. While Valencia have lost their last 2 games, both were close by a narrow margin of 1 goal losing 1-0 to Barcelona and 2-1 to Levante and will look to this game to turn their form around. Confidence will be high after coming back from 1 goal down to win 2-1 against Rayo Vallecano in the Cup. Valencia have been in epic goal scoring form netting 24 times in 13 games so far.

Valencia have relied primarily on Alcacer, Rodrigo, Parejo and Piatti for the goals. Now they have Alvaro Negredo back playing in the La Liga; and he will be more determined than ever to try and net his first goal of the new campaign so far. Valencia knows that a victory will get them to within 2 points of 4th place Sevilla, and need to keep up the pace if they want to get that final Champions League spot.

Granada have only won 2 games all season, and unfortunately for them it was ages ago, way back on 20th September. While they have managed a victory in the cup, it was against even worst opposition in Cordoba in that game. Granada are teh worst offensive team in the league scoring only 7 goals in their 13 games so far, and have a goal difference of -15, which is the 2nd worst in the league. Granada will miss Riki, Marquez, Darwin Machis and Ruben Rochina who are all injured.

Valencia look stronger than Granada and need a victory to get back their momentum, and I strongly believe their goal scoring exploits will take them over the line.
