In the 20`th round of the Regionalliga Nord Weiche Flensburg welcomes Hamburg II. Flensburg is placed 6`th with 29 points while Hamburg II is first with 45 points. Flensburg is a team in best form of late winning the last 5 matches with a 15:3 goal difference. They are quite strong at home with 5-4-2 and the guests will have to fight strong to get 3 points. It would`t be such a surprise for Hamburg to win since they are the best away team with 8-0-1 but for a month now the guests are in a bit of a slump. After a fantastic start of the season and I think 13-1-0 Hamburg has won just 1 match of the last 5. The team is feeling some saturation I would say and it was a matter of time for this to happen.
Some last results like 4:1 loss to Norderstedt and 1:2 to Oldenburg at home are bad and the hosts will feel they have something to say in this match.
Flensburg is winning lately but truth be told those teams were all from the bottom part of the table and a win against Hamburg would count for a lot.
There is another reason why the hosts are placed as favorites and that is the transfer of some of the most influeantial players in the first Hamburg team. HSV is having a poor season again and it became necessary to get some new blood from the youth team. In the last few weeks mostly midfield players left the team and it could also be a part of poorer performances.
Ronny Marcos(def.17-1), Steinman(mid.12-3), Gouaida(mid.17-6), Cigerci(mid.12-7), Gotz(mid.12-0)have been transfered to HSV and the job bacame much tougher for Hamburg II to promote this season. Also suspended is the attacker Niko Charierr (8-3).
I was looking for bigger odds but even the bookies agree the hosts are closer to victory.
