Beitar Jerusalem vs Hapoel P. Tikva by Jamesington
Both sides are in the bottom half of the league, Beitar Jerusalem in 8th and their opponents Hapoel in 14th (last place). Despite the big gap in their positions, the clubs are only separated by one point and if we were to not include a 6-0 hammering at the hands of last season's champions Maccabi Tel Aviv, the goal difference would also only have a gap of one.
The home side, Beitar, have drawn 5 of their last 10 matches and the visitors drew their most recent away match, which was against a side with the same number of points as their opponents today. Beitar Jerusalem's season has in fact been generally been split down the middle in most aspects, they sit exactly halfway up/down the table and they have scored exactly the same number of goals as they have conceded - it is unsurprising then that 50% of their league games have finished in draws.
Neither side is in great form so they will both be keen not to lose the match, which may lead to a cagey affair when if anyone takes the lead they will sit back and defend, making it more likely the other side would score next. This would play into our hands and make the draw all the more probably of an outcome.
I fancy a draw strongly and recommend a low-medium stake of 4 units at 3.5 with Bet365 (though the price is generally available).
