Sunderland vs Manchester C. by Rahul

Man City showed us last time around that they were able to put around a big performance against Southampton and led by an outstanding performance by Sergio Aguero, Jovetic and Yaya Toure. Man City have now won 3 games in a row against good teams like Swansea, Bayern Munich and Southampton which will bode them in good confidence heading into this game against Sunderland.

Sunderland have managed to shore up their defenses in recent weeks including a clean sheet 0-0 draw against Chelsea. Despite them keeping a tight shop against Chelsea, I do believe that the intensity will be too much for Sunderland to handle within the same week while they take on Man City this week. Man City boast a decent away record losing just 1 game from 7, while scoring 16 goals in those 7 games compared to 11 from 6 at home. This shows you that they like playing away from home without any pressure and freedom to express themselves.

Mind you Sunderland have been Man City's bogey team in recent years losing 4 straight games against them. Sunderland's attackers in Wickham and Fletcher will be extremely pleased that City will be missing Nastasic, Kompany, Mangala from the defensive end, which will definitely create opportunities for them to score due to misunderstandings that could happen because of the new partner that Demechelis will have.

City's games have averaged around 3 goals per game with that being scored in their last 5 straight games in all competitions, while Sunderland games are averaging 2.5 goals per game.

I expect this to be a high scoring game, and an early Sunderland or City game, will bring this game to life.
