Tottenham vs Everton by Jamesington
Everton have not won any of their last five visits to the Lane but have done well lately recording 6 wins and 3 draws in their last 9 matches. Everton were most impressive in their win at high-flying Wolfsburg, winning 2-0 thanks to goals from Lukaku and his Belgian colleague Kevin Mirallas - that win brought their goal tally to 8 in the past 4 matches. I think they are good enough to break through a dodgy Spurs backline which has conceded 15 in it's last 10 Premier League matches.
With Lukaku, Naismith and Eto'o all in good goalscoring form - a Spurs side struck by multiple injury worries is likely to find keeping a clean sheet very difficult (indeed Tottenham have only kept a clean sheet 3 times this season, with a goalkeeper of Hugo Lloris' class, that is worrying). Spurs injury doubts include Kaboul, Rose, Capoue, Chadli, Townsend and Adebayor whilst Kyle Naughton is suspended.
Everton have scored in every away match they've played this Premier League season and have found the net at least twice in half those matches, they have only failed to score in one game since the first match of the season. The Toffees have scored at least 2 goals against Chelsea (3), Arsenal, West Ham, Lille (3), Wolfsburg (4 & 2) as well as many other lower half sides so it is not a stretch of the imagination that they could do so against a weakened Spurs team which has lost 4 of it's past 5 home Premier League matches (conceding 8 goals in those 4 games).
There is good value in backing Everton to win, but Spurs can match anyone offensively (on their day), so let's back the Toffees to have a sweet day (wahey!) in front of goal and hit the net at least twice in London.
