Arsenal U19 vs Dortmund U19 by Jamesington

It really does seem that the Uefa Youth League, the Champions League's little brother, is one hell of an exciting tournament - the games generally produce a lot of goals and some of the world's future stars are on display - I urge you to watch one of the matches this afternoon if you have free time (or a wager on them).

In London this afternoon, Arsenal U19 will beat Dortmund U19 before their senior counterparts do battle at the Emirates (a match which I suspect will end with victory going the other way). The young Gunners have done well in the tournament thus far, beating Dortmund 2-0 in Germany and thrashing Galatasaray here 5-1 (with the Turks' goal a last minute consolation). They gave Anderlecht's fantastic youth set-up two very close matches, losing by 1 goal both home and away, and under the leadership of future England midfielder Dan Crowley they can secure another victory today.

Dortmund did not put up such a good show against Anderlecht and, where Arsenal lost 4-3, were crushed 5-0 (they did have 2 players sent off but were already 2-0 down when the first one went). The German side managed to restore some pride when beating Galatasaray at home but lost both the counterpart fixture and their home game against today's opponents, Arsenal.

The 2-0 victory in the previous match was in Germany, Arsenal have consistently performed better at home in the UEFA Youth League and so it should be no stretch of the imagination that they can at least match their 2 goal victory at home.

Arsenal have both outscored Dortmund and conceded less goals than them and have the creativity and attacking prowess to beat the Germans again.
