APOEL vs Barcelona by Jamesington
Barca themselves have not scored more than 2 in any of their last CL away matches - whilst that could change today, I prefer to avoid the traditional markets and take a bit of a gamble in the goalscorer markets. All the talk has been of Lionel Messi lately, and rightly so - the Argentinian has become the highest scorer in La Liga history and is tied with Raul in Champions League goals (if he scores tonight he will become the record scorer in CL history), but this focus on the little genius has allowed Luis Suarez to slip into the side after his suspension without the usual degree of controversy that seems to follow him everywhere.
Suarez has started well for Barca with a number of good performances - he has been dubbed 'El Generoso' by Marca for his many assists since joining the team. Suarez has created a number of goals in the past few matches, coming on against Almeria to spark a second half comeback in which he created both goals. Suarez has never been one to take a back seat, scoring huge numbers of goals for Liverpool, Ajax and Uruguay and it will not be long before he gets on the scoresheet for Barca. Suarez came close against Ajax and had a big chance to break his duck against Sevilla before Messi nipped in ahead of him to finish.
A player of Suarez's calibre is not usually available at such a price to score 'anytime' and I fancy him at a decent price to find the net - he scored four times in his last 7 European matches for Liverpool (twice in his most recent game) and has 5 in his last 5 internationals, so he clearly enjoys the big stage.
