Dallas Mavericks vs Indiana Pacers by QuidProQuo
Dallas is in my opinion one of the best teams in the league right now. They have chemistry, they play well and most importantly they have been blowing opposing teams out. They were very solid last year, but I like them even more now with Tyson Chandler and Chandler Parsons. Tyson Chandler seems to be on top of his game lately and he's the player the Mavs needed... He's shooting nearly 70% from the field and averaging 10 points, 10 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in just around 27 minutes per game. Thing is, since they won quite a few games comfortably already they have had the luxury to rest most of the key/older players during 4th quarters.
Obviously, they have Dirk who's averaging 18.8 points per game and Monta Ellis who's been fantastic lately averaging almost 20 points per game, but I talked about Chandler because tonight he's going to have easier job than usual and can add few more points. He's going to play versus Luis Skola who doesn't really have a size to guard Chandler (Roy Hibbert is not playing tonight).
On the other hand, the Pacers are pretty much terrible and on top of that they are without Hibbert tonight and are in terrible spot tonight in the game where objectively they can't hope for a win. If Dallas come out strong, which I expect, and make a decent lead, it's hard to expect the Pacers are going to try very hard to play best defense. Of course if we put that on side, Dallas is still way more deep, talented and better team...
The Pacers are horrible 7-24 ATS in this spot, and Dallas is 5-2 ATS last seven games when home favorite of 11 points or more, also they are 46-14 ATS last 60 games following a loss. Interestingly, the Mavs are 5-0 ATS last five vs. a team with a winning % lower than .400 and the Pacers are just 2-5 ATS their last seven vs. a team with a winning % above 0.600...
