Cleveland Cavs vs Toronto by Lloyds
Cleveland are on the 3-game skid but the upcoming 5-game homestand could see an end to their woes. Beside Toronto, and later Washington, the hosts face a soft schedule in the next week so it's time for Lebron and Co. to seize this opportunity. The home side are still finding their identity on defense which is causing a lot of harm to their team chemistry. Cleveland allow 102 points per game and their 5-6 season start is Lebron's worst since the 2007-08 campaign. James himself is struggling as he only shot 39.3% in this 3-game skid and averaged 19.3 ppg. The other two guys, Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving, are not consistent enough, especially Love who is now exposed for his inability to defend. Cleveland's offense is too stagnant, with many "isolation" plays and without involving the role players. Toronto, who average 106.7 ppg, have a great backcourt which will be a problem for the hosts tonight. The Raptors' offense is ranked 3rd in the league, just behind Dallas and Golden State. The hosts will also have problems defending the paint as they are the worst team, in that particular aspect, in the league (Cleveland allow 65% shooting inside the paint area).
Beside James, very few players on this Cleveland's roster have the experience to cope which such pressure of the whole nation. Tonight I think it's up to him to carry this team to a much needed victory because I doubt anyone else could do it. James must come out of his shooting slump as Cavaliers are sailing in the "dangerous waters" right now.
