Barnsley go into this game in some nice form being unbeaten in their last 3 games. This includes an excellent draw against L1 leaders Bristol City and 2 wins over a good side in Sheffield United and a 5-0 thrashing over L2 promotion hopefuls Burton. I believe they couldn't be in a better mind set right now.

They are currently 12th in L2 after spending most of the season in or around the relegation zone. They were relegated from the Championship last season so I do feel deep down they are better than most teams in this division and I think we will see that come the end of the season.

Barnsley will be without three of their younger stars for the visit of Colchester with on-loan Fulham duo Ryan Williams and Marcello Trotta as well as midfielder Paul Digby all away on international duty. Leroy Lita featured for 15 minutes for the first time in just under a month against Burton last weekend and will be hoping for more action against Colchester in Trotta’s absence.

Colchester are 5 places below Barnsley in the league and have also recently found a bit of form until a disappointing home loss to Port Vale in their last match. They had, however, previously given Chesterfield and Swindon a good match before the loss.

The U’s are still without injured trio Drey Wright, David Wright and Tosin Olufemi, but could hand a debut to new loan signing Jamie Harney who joined from West Ham on Wednesday after Elliott Hewitt’s loan spell from Ipswich came to an end. Colchester will have Freddie Sears leading the attack who is now in double figures for the season with 11 goals.

I feel Barnsley should win this game but with both sides being a little unpredictable lately I think a 0 Asian Handicap adds a little insurance just in case.
