Saalfelden vs Wattens by Goleador

Austria, Regionalliga West

Gameday 17: FC Pinzgau Saalfelden - WSG Wattens

This is the last gameday before winterbreak in Regionalliga West and it is also the first game of the second half of the season. Although the first game ended with a 2-2 draw the signs are clear here. Wattens is big favourite and odds are dropping massive.

Saalfelden not with a bad season, but the last three games all losses, conceding 9 goals in this game. Problems are a very slim squad and if there are injuries getting points becomes really hard. In an interview on FC Pinzgau Saalfelden´s youtube channel one of the players (I think it was topscorer Tandari) stated that the players are all tired after this 16 games until now and he is glad, that winterbreak is coming soon. He also said one point in this game would be a big surprise for them, which I think shows the situations very good.

Wattens after a poor start got back into the track and has a great run. Now they have won the last four games scoring 15 goals and conceding three goals. Now the are just three points behind leader Austria Salzburg and maybe can get closer to the leading team. Here the motivation will be big, as the goal, the winning of the title will give Wattens power and the quality for a big win is there.

My Austria colleague iSpree also posted, but I think the odds are still okey to play and will drop even more. So because of the current form and the quality difference my pick is away win.
