The Houston Rockets are among the 3 teams in the NBA that are undefeated as of yet along with the Golden State Warriors and Memphis Grizzlies. Tonight they take on the defending champions the San Antonio Spurs who will be resting Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili on the 2nd night of a back to back.

If it were many other teams in the league, you would give the Spurs a chance, but considering their recent struggles with close wins and a loss against the high paced Suns and their 2 veterans missing; you have to give the Rockets the upper hand. What will also be worrying for them is Tony Parker played 37 minutes last night and he will be among the big 3 who will play tonight who could be really exhausted. The Spurs still have some decent quality in Diaw, Belenelli who should step in for the veterans but Diaw played 34 minutes yesterday and he will have to play a lot more especially when Splitter looks doubtful due to a calf injury.

The Rockets are well led by their all-stars Dwight Howard and James Harden. Harden has gone back to the crazy scoring form that he had last season and is 2nd in the league at 27.2 ppg only behind Kobe Bryant. What is also good from Harden this year is that he is getting to the free throw line over 12 times a game v 9 per game last year. He also provides reasonable assists and rebounds as the team work together in partnership to try and win. Dwight Howard has also started the season in good form averaging 17 pts and 10 boards. The Rockets team are really strong and with their starting bunch able to score around 75 points themselves, it shows you how strong they are and how good they can eventually become.

Rockets to easily cover the 4 points handicap tonight.pin
