World Series Of Poker

The World Series of Poker is the best known live poker tournament held every year in Las Vegas. First WSOP was held back in 1970, it grow up slowly and nowadays it has even 8-9 thousands participating players. In lasts years, WSOP events are all freezouts and consists of 55 different events. The winner of every event receives World Series of Poker bracelet and prize amount based on number of players participating and their buy-ins.

Main Event

Best known WSOP even is 10,000$ no limit hold-em also known as "Main Event". Winner of this even gets the largest prize of all winners events and also has traditionally given the name of World Champion. During WSOP events a Player of the Year Award has been given to the participant who accumulated the most points during the world Series events.
World Series of Poker Europe is the first expansion of WSOP. Since the begining it was held in Las Vegas every year, but in 2007 the first WSOP events were held outside Las Vegas. It was consisted of three events held in London. Egypt and South Africa are next possible locations where WSOP should take place.
