Game disputed in Havana, between the home team Cuba, against one of the strongest candidates to win the League, Russia.

Russia is at this moment 2º in world ranking behind Brazil, while Cuba has gone down and is at this moment 17º of ranking.
In the first games of this group Russia won the 2 games disputed against Korea, while Cuba gained a game and lost another one with Italy in Havana. Russia is at this moment leader of the group with 4 points.

Russia is a powerfull team, that was second place in the World Championship of 2007, and was second place in the World League of 2007, always defeated in the final by Brazil, and is presented in this World League with the will to win the League, being the main adversary of powerful Brazil.

Italy and Russia are tied in the group after 5 games in the World League, in a group where the leadership will be decided by these two teams, both of them of great value.

Russia is the current nº2 world-wide thanks to their 2º place in the world championship and World League, that demonstrate that this team is in this moment the main adversary to the Brazilian hegemony.

On the other side are the Italians, tenth team of the world that only made the 9º place in World League and it did not obtain the last participation to the worldleague.

This will be the 2º game in two days between these two teams, having the first one pended for the side of Italy that plays in house in both, the victory was of 3-1, in “sets” all of them very balanced which proves the high level of these two teams.

In this match, the first place of the group will be in game, because who earns it will assume the isolated leadership of the group, and Russia knows that to arrive in first place at the half of the phase of groups a victory is indispensable.

For these reasons it seems to us that we will attend to a game of great balance where the Russian team will have to enter more aggressive than yesterday looking to give an enormous step throw the conquest of the group.

In perspective a great game between world-wide ranking nº6 Spain and U.S.A. nº3 of the world.
At the end of 6 games in group C of the World League the North Americans lead with only one defeat, being followed by Bulgaria with two defeats, and for Spain with three. It is a group extremely balanced, that will even have to be disputed close to the end for three teams of great level.

The Americans are in the top, but they have an advantage, already made all the games with the weaker team of the group Finland, having registered 4 victories in the 4 games.
On the other hand, in the meeting with a direct adversary (Bulgaria) at home they had won a game and lost the second game, what demonstrates that their classification at the moment is fruit of the calendar, and will be able to start to suffer alterations already in the next round.

How about the Spanish they had entered badly, with two clear defeats in Bulgaria. Followed they had received and beat the Finnish in the two games, following itself it Bulgaria, also at home, where they had a defeat and a win in the 2 games, for what it assumes great importance a victory on the Americans with sight to the recovery in the table.

This is a game between two teams very equalized, the Americans had been 4º in the world championship and the Spanish 5º, for what a game of great balance is expected, where the factor home will be able to unbalance.
