NHL - Nashville Predators v San Jose Sharks
11 April 2007
Preview By Tipster JPH1983 (Norway)
Nashville was second in the central division, trailing Detroit with 3 points. They are a good team with a lot of speed and depth in the roster. With the arrival of "mastermind" Forsberg, they went to be one of the big contenders for the trophy. But I don't think Forsberg have been as good as everyone hoped, and he got 15 point (2 goals and 13 assist) in 17 games for Nashville.
Nashville finished the series 5-3-2.
San Jose are lead by their star centre Joe Thornton, who have followed up his good play last year. In 82 games he got 22 goals and 92 assist, total of 114 points. He also have an average of 2 points last 10 games. With Michalek and Cheechoo, and also Guerin back in action, I see Sharks as a team that are very capable of winning tonight.
San Jose were great at the end of the season and are 7-1-2 last 10 games.
The goalies tonight are probably Vokoun vs Nabokov. Both team have 2 good goalies each, and they can all win this match if they have a good day.
Nashville injuries: Sullivan (RW) will be out, while Smithson (C), Fiddler (C) and Erat (LW) are probable. Erat have been out for about a month, and will give more strength to the Nashville offense.
San Jose injuries: Smith (C) and Guerin (RW) are probable tonight. Guerin have been sitting out 3 games now, as San Jose wanted to have him fit for fight tonight.
This is a important game, and I see it as a pretty even matchup. Even if their past meeting have frequently given home victory, I think San Jose's form both overall and on the road are looking really strong. Nordicbet with odds 2.85 on Sharks after reg.time will get 7/10 from me.
Good luck with days picks.
