I've had mixed feelings about this one for a few days now, but I think this is the best bet to go for in this match.
Looking strictly at form and league placings you'd have to go with Everton to win this match but I've been watching Everton and Sports betting for long enough to know that backing Everton at odds on in a match they are "expected" to win is nothing but a nailed on route to the poorhouse.
Everton controlled the first half against Aston Villa on Monday night and if it wasnt for a very poor refereeing decision would have led 2-0 at the break. Alas it was only 1-0 and Villa had the motivation (after a very big rollocking I imagine from Martin O'Neil) to come out and get something from the game. They did, it finished 1-1. Everton have quite a tendency to let teams back into games or to get back into games they have fallen behind in. Thats why its never straight forward with the Blues.
I'd like to say I was very confident of an Everton win today but I cant. Contrary to reports, Manuel Fernandez is not fit today and he will be missed as a foil to the sublime Mikel Arteta. Everton just havent been consistent this season, they've never strung back to back wins together and have more of a habit of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory rather than the other way round.
I'm very wary of Fulham getting a 1-1 draw in this game, but I'd like to think Everton can win this one 2-0. Johnson looks good for a goal and at 2.5 to score anytime looks a decent punt too, as does Arteta @ 5 (he take penalties and free kicks) but again I've got a feeling Fulham will grab a goal too, probably from McBride.
Basically I can confidently see a couple of goals in this game and at Evens this is where my money is going on this one..
Good Luck..
