I will just copy analysis from day before yesterday, and just change some informations, 'couse same teams are playing again. at the end I will wrote facts from last game:

About month ago, nobody believed that anybody can get into playoff battle with teams that already was in first 8 on west. edmonton was the closest, and many people thought that thay could replay last year result when they clinched 8th place and then reach NHL finals. But one team showed some great will and great form and unexpectedly got on one step behind 8th placed Calgary. That is Colorado Avalanche! They was like Avalanche last 10 games, won 9 and reach OT with Minesota. played 7 on road, all 7 won. Great wins in Buffalo and Detroit! NHL legend Joe Sakic is in brilliant form, 2 goals and 6 assists last week, and he was picked as a star of the week.

Playoff is very close if they win in Edmonton tonight.

Situacion in Edmonton is already well known. too many injury problems:

Thay are in 12 games loosing streak! and scored only 11 goals in those 12 matches. very poor form. Healty players are not motivated for playing any more 'couse thay've lost any chances for playoffs this year.

last game:

Avalanche won 5:1!!! Impressive!! they were brilliant from the start. Thay were attacking whole game, even if thay took the lead 2:0 after just 4 minutes! You can see the diference if you take a look at shoot on goal: 34-23 for COL. but it is well known that in 90% team that is loosing have more shoots on goal! Lampierre and Sakic was great!

btw, one other tipster wrote in analysis for last match that goalie Luongo is only bright star in Edmonton. That is not true, he is one of 3 best goalies in league, but he is not in Edmonton, he plays fo Vancouver Canucks!
