In last match, Veracruz came out with more compromise and provoke more scoring chances, but it was until the last part of the second half that Veracruz MF Malher Tresser Moreno score a great goal from a pass of MF Luis Alfonso Sandoval. Has a match pending of midweek as the club play against Boca Juniors on midweek becuase of Libertadores Cup action, his match was postponed to April 18.

In last weekend game, the club went to Monterrey and play against Tigres, and altough the team seems as the perfect victim, the truth is that the club seems to be back, MF Antonio Naelson "Sinha" make a great match as just starting the match he put the goal to take advantage, and two minutes later put a goal pass to MF Diego de la Torre to score the second goal.

From that moment Toluca went to play defensively with the team laid back and with counterattacks. This lead to a rispid match from that moment to the end, with few scoring chances for Tigres that was unable to provoke danger and Toluca came out with the three points, in here we have to remark that striker Erwin Avalos came in susbtitution of Antonio Naelson and isn't peforming and miss a good chance because lack of quality in his shoot.

In midweek the team play against Boca Juniors and with the same style came out with the victory 2-0, with goals of Ponce and FW Vicente Sanchez, who is making a great season, making goals and showing his great level. The team was benefit from the expulsion of DF "Cata" Diaz of Boca Juniors, but still the team know what to do with the ball in that moment and was able to take the goals.

In the second part the team was able to dominate the actions and play with the desesperation of the team, where "Tolo" Gallego keep correcting their players despite they where winning. But what is to remark is the good victory the team collect.

So in balance the team seems to be back, that defensive stronghold with offensive power to win the matches and when able to score plenty more. The only thing to consider is that they are playing midweek because of Libertadores Cup, still this week their rival also play on midweek due to double journey in Mexico, so both teams came in equal circustances.

Toluca will came out to impose their playing style, last season Veracruz take an away victory precisely to this team, but that was the start of the debacle of the team in that season. But this time, the two victories is a big morale boost to Toluca which face in different circunstances Veracruz, with players performing and the team working together and with a good system.
