Asian +4 : -4
Sportingodds are being a little generous here offering the +4 with in their No Draw Handicap Market. 4 Points is the best you can get anywhere else including the Draw !!!!
Well Salford got a pummelling last Sunday at Bradford (56-18) but then they usually do get a hiding at Bradford!
Karl Harrison gave the players a good rollocking after that loss and I expect them to bounce back tonight. At home, Salford are especially strong and last season had one of the best defences in the league. Rarely beaten by 6 or 8 points by anyone.
They've played 2 home games this season, winning against The Catalans 10-0, and losing by 4 points (26-30) to Leeds. So they look like keeping the good home form, even though they are leaking more tries this season. No worry, Wigan arent exactly racking up the points so far...
Wigan are still struggling again this season, losing 3 games already ( Bradford, Hull KR and Warrington ) and winning 2 ( Harlequins and Catalans ), Here's the scores, most recent at the top:
Wigan 16 Harlequins 12
Wigan 16 Hull KR 26
Bradford 32 Wigan 28
Catalans 16 Wigan 18
Wigan 10 Warrington 16
So Wigan's 2 victories were by 2 points and 4 points.
Full Back Withers is out for Wigan, but apart from that both teams are pretty much full strength. But I dont think Wigan's new recruits have gelled properly yet, I think Salford are a more settled team.
I can see Salford putting up a much better show this week against the Warriors and I like Salford to win this one without the start, but Wigan do have a habit of snatching victory at the death so I'll take the 4 point start, and the added bonus of a push if Wigan win by 4.
