Ok.One of my favourite matchups in the NHL as Thrash takes on Caps in the Phillips Arena ATL.Thsrashers have been absolutely fantasctic this year - great offensive, solid special teams and improving defence.They are almost surely in the play-offs but still need to grab few matches to relax and prepare in peace for the final stage of the season...and Capitals are just the team to take 2 points from.

Caps are one of the weakest teams in the league and have nothing to play for this season...especially when visiting.When the two meet there always is a nice bunch of goals (surely 5) as both squads have big names in the attack (Hossa, Kovalchuk(ATL),Ovechkin, Semin (WAS) ).

Thrashers are going after a win here (IMO worth betting with high stakes on win including overtime) and will try to rash the net from early minutes.Caps are also able to score so we could see some ammo flying around (Over 5,5 is very realistic with medium stakes,IMO).The pick I will back up today is the first period over 1,5 as ATL will try to get on the board as soon as possible with open play what might allow Caps to score on quick counters (and they do it well!).
