The team get a great result last match when they get a 1-1 draw from Jalisco stadium, first a rare offensive scheme and after their defensive style was enough to take a point from a venue that Atlas have made strong. In the start of the match Atlante score thanks to FW Franco Mendoza, first goal in México, but minutes later the player had to leave the field as was mid injured due to lack of physical preparation. The team continues to look for another goal, bur Atlas slowly regain the ball and start attacking. But first half ended with the same scoreline.

For the second half, Atlas GK Mario Rodriguez was expelled and altough numerous superiority Atlante was unable to increase the lead, and instead in '56 minute FW Andrés Nicolás was able to score the equalizer for Atlas than never stop attacking, but Atlante thanks to a great performance of their GK Federico Vilar was able to mantain the draw and claim a point.

The team is a better team when playing on home, still last match against Chivas they receive the only three goals they have allow in Azteca stadium. The other two matches the team have get clean sheets. Atlante likes to play defensive altough being in home and attack by wings and throught ball in middlefield.

U20 national team members FW Christian Bermúdez and FW Daniel Guerrero return from the pre World Cup classification and some of them could have some minutes in this game if the chance is present.

Last match the team allow another defeat on home, when Chivas Guadalara make a fine display of football.

In the first half a goal of MF Juan Manuel Salgueiro put Necaxa infront of the game to control the actions. That was the most relevant and some other chances of Chivas in first half.

In second half Chivas open the score with a goal of FW Omar Bravo, who two minutes later score again to give the lead to Chivas. Necaxa didn't rest and score a great goal by FW Alfredo Moreno. But Chivas answer back with a goal of MF Ramon Morales. If things where worse, DF Luis Omar Hernandez leave the field after being expelled at minute '77. Chivas take hand of that situation and score the fourth by FW Omar Bravo, and try more times to score but now Necaxa didn't allow it.

In that match nexaca look lost and it suffer from having play in midweek against Alianza Lima which they had beat 1-2. The team show some fatigue, but over that they where clearly inferior to Chivas. The team is on third place of the group 1, which is one of the toughtest groups. But still we have to remark that Necaxa have a good ball movement and quick counterattack.

Again Necaxa played on midweek this time in home against Audax Italiano, and also won 2-0, so Necaxa holds to the first position of that group in Libertadores Cup and is looking good in that tournament, still the fatigue could work against the team.

In this match against Atlante, coach Jose Luis Trejo will arrive to 250 matches as coach in México. The team accumulates four matches without a victory, still their peformance on Libertadores cup is perfect so they could gave more focus to local tournament.

This was consider "derby" by 1930, but now is a match that few people will witness live. The match I see is Atlante defending, but proposing the match by the wings. Necaxa attacking with good ball movement and better midfield, so I expect more chances for Necaxa.

Prediction:

I sense that Necaxa could have a pretty chance, still the midweek match make it hard to tell as the fatigue could affect them, as Atlante improve in last game and could return to perform pretty well on home. But I sense more quality on Necaxa midfield, so Necaxa 0 AH with a good price.
