Hello everyone,i'm back now from my holiday,and ready to give my first Rugby League tip for the year,i've been waiting for these odds to come out and I must admit to being a tad bit disapointed with these odds as I was hoping for much better,but at almost triple your stake it's still well worth dropping $1000 on it and I already have,why some of you might ask,well lets look and i'll tell you.

Souths are one of the greatest League clubs in the World,in fact the only other team to even come close to them is the St George Dragons.Times have been very rough for the once mighty Rabitohs,they have collected the wooden spoon now 4 times in their last 5 seasons,a very sad state of affairs for Rabitohs fans,but things started to look better towards the end of last season and with Russel Crowe at the helm properly for the 2007 season things are definitly looking better.Jason Taylor has become the head coach for this season and that alone is reason for optimisim,his coaching of Parramatta last season was very good and he should bring that same brand of football to the Burrow.Also another reason for Rabitohs fans to look forward to the up comming season is the new personal at Redfern,with Crowe at the helm his connection with New Zealand has come to the fore and Souths can now boast a forward pack with 3 international players Kidwell,Fa'alongo and by far their best buy Asotasi,they have also recruited another test player in Vagana in the backs,these 3 players will trouble any team add to the mix Williams and Sutton and they have a fantastic back row and very good halves.Nathan Merrit is back and after his amasing try tally of 22 last year to lead the comp and his 24 line breaks,3rd overall and with Peachy and Hegarty Souths really do have the team well balanced and they will be a handful for anyone who does'nt give them the respect they deserve.

I like Souths to make the 8 this year,the club is moving in the right direction and the players from all reports are very keen for the NRL to start.In recent seasons the Rabitohs have hung their heads in certaingames,don't expect that to happen this season,they have brought well and the managment of the Club look to be in good hands,they have players who know how to win and young players who want to win.

Is this the season for the Rabitohs to recapture some of their former glory,I think so,will they win the Comp? Probaly not,but to make the 8 is a massive shift from where they have been,at the bottom,Look for Souths to improve markedly this season and make the playoffs.Good Luck.
