NRL Rugby - Manly Sea Eagles vs St George Dragons Rugby betting preview

It's intresting that this week satrts with a match between the Dragons and Manly.last season we took the Dragons to get home against the Eagles and they were at good odds,the Dragons are Manlys bogey side and don't lose tyo them to much,in fact last seasons win at Brookvale was Manlys first win over the Dragons there in their last 3 matches. and Manlys 3rd win against the red and Whites in their last 12 matches at any venue,so this match looms large for the Eagles.

Manly have now won 4 straight games and none were easy wins either,they have beaten the Cowboys,Broncos,Bulldogs and Eels and they did most of that without Watmough,they conceeded less than 13 points in their last two wins and seem to be full of running for large parts of their games,they almost always score first and put other sides on the back foot,this week they revert back to Menzies at standoff with Lyon back out to the Centres,I still can't help feeling that Manly are well over priced here though and i'm still juggling on what to call on this game.

The Dragons have now won 2 of their last 3,they beat a second string Storm side last week and went down to the Eels the week before 19-18 but did win 3 weeks ago against the Roosters.This is about as good as the Dragons get with Gasnier,Cooper and Hornby all mnamed to play,but they also have Young playing at Hooker and they have missed him playing there on a regular basis but they also have Woolford off the bench as well as a very strong looking forward pack,all in all this is the best the Dragons can muster and in past years it has been enough,the real question is how well are Manly really going and are they ready for a shot against the side that always plays well against them.

Recent results and apart from one win last year it's all been the Dragons,St George have won 5 of the most recent 6 matches against the Eagles and only lost that game at Brookvale last season by 2 points.

This game intrigues me a fair bit,in a way I want to pick the Dragons based on past results but even recent results make it hard to split the two sides,the Eagles have a better defence and have been winning and have also got a full strength line up to choose from but the same can be said of the Dragons who are also winning and have a full strength side to pick from,so who holds an advantage over the other??

Hard to say but the 8 points looks fair to me and with gasnier and Cooper backing up here and winners from Wedesday Night and they will of brought an air of confidence back with them,traditionaly the Eagles really struggle against the Dragons and we'll play on that and take them with the 8 and look for the upset also...Good Luck.
