Good luck to you Dezza tonight on the Sharks,I hope you get it regardless of what I write here, but I myself will be backing the Tahs, sorry Bro.
The second semi comes to us from Sydney with the 2nd placed Waratahs facing off against the Sharks.
I put $100 on the Tahs at the beginning of this comp at some nice odds and I have to admit I still have been wondering about their credentials for a while now,but the one match this season in which I thought they were doing well in was a loss, the match was the game they lost to the Cheifs a while ago now,but the games itself showed what caracter this side has, they were behind and stayed behind befoire really showing up late and although losing you could still pick up plenty of positives in the match itself, the Tahs have won 3 of their last 5 with a draw thrown in also, they are unbeaten at home and last week probaly showed alot to people such as myslef, the Reds have been playing very well and did'nt play badly last weekend either but the game itself was never in doiubt the tahs survived barrage after barrage of attacking raids by the reds and still kept comming up with the answers, personally I think the Tahs will of gained alot of confidence in that win and performance and I think they are going about as good as they can get right now and have been very consistent this season.
The Sharks have been going well as well in their last couple but those have been at home, they got here by beating the Cheetahs and last week by beating the Cheifs, but nether of those sides was worth much at this stage of the season and the Cheifs were awful, but heres where the Sharks tale gets intresting, the first 6 rounds of this comp defensivly they were air tight and looked like a good bet to win the Comp, but over the last few weeks that great defence has fallen off and injurys and the like have had alot to do with it,the Sharks gave up 25 points last week against the Cheiifs and also gave up 14 against the Cheetahs and the final score in that game flattered the Sharks,Botha is out for them and Steyn will play but is not at 100% and that could be the catalyst for the Tahs to run riot here.
The Sharks have beaten the Tahs only once in their last 4 games and that win came at home in SA two seasons ago, they have lost the other 3 against the Tahs including this season in Sydney by an average margin of 15 points.
The Waratahs have been excellent at home this season winning 6 of the 6 played there and have been awesome in defence only giving away on average 11 points at home while scoring 25 of their own,the Sharks don't travel that bad but I have a feeling that the Tahs will really show up here tonight, lets hope for no rain and I expect a very handsome win to the Waratahs...Good Luck.
