Another pretty good bet in my opinion, the cardinals are so much better team and they will have a supporting edge in pitching on this one – a very good chance. It’s really a having everything on their side circumstance here, and on top of that some bookies are considering the Cardinals as an underdog.

The pitcher that will start for the cardinals is B Looper, he has a season ERA of 3.95 and is doing some great stuff recently (has a last 3 games ERA of 2.53), looper has great control, but doesn’t strike out a lot, never the les, he still is a hard pitcher to bat against, and lately he has allowed few hits to the opponents. The brewers aren’t batting that well and Looper has a real chance of doing another pretty game.

The brewers are sending in J Suppan, witch has a season ERA of 5.22 , having a last 3 games ERA of 6.89 – quite bad for him, he has been pitching quite irregular, and has been slumping a lot – everybody seems to hit anything with him, and his confidence should be shattered. He will face a team that is hitting good and he will have a difficult time. So for me a big edge on pitching for the cardinals – in terms of bullpen there are no significant differences at the moment and the final statement has to do with the hitting.

Cardinals are also here the best team at the moment – 0.264 vs 0.208 – is a very large difference, and there is another aspect of importance here – they bat against right handed pitcher a lot better then the brewers (0.282 vs 0.236), so with Suppan on the mound I believe the big handicap should work in this one.
