Odds on the American are dropping massively already which is very logical to me considering the fact that he was supposed to be the dog in this clash from the start. From one below-average challenger player, Italian has become the favorite to beat the fifth player in the world overnight. Anything seems wrong there? If it wasn't laughable - it would be sad. Roddick isn't as bad on clay as the public presents it at all, and he's shown that in his last match here versus his countryman Fish. The truth is that he still offers a lot of 'free' points on his second serve and that his backhand still isn't as strong as his forehand but some progress is very obvious and I think that it's all pretty simple here - Andy has got more quality than the Italian. And that difference in quality is probably the same as the difference on the ATP rankings. I don't see how once-in-dirt-now-in-the-sky Bolelli can pull anything out here. It is true that Simone has got good serve, but he hits the ball much weaker; another true fact is that he did enter Munich finals last week (fatigue factor should also be starting to influence his game, considering he's played on a pro level for two weeks every day) but that tournament wasn't the best one around IMO.

All in all, I expect Roddick to serve even better today than in his last match here in Rome, and to show Simone who is 'the boss on the court' by hitting the ball powerfully from the baseline. IMO the odds should be set reverse here because the American is here the real fav and that is why I plan to use this bookie's mistake with one full stakes bet on A-Rod's victory.
