Ladbrokes have chalked up a battle of the Justins and I can see the diminuitive american taking this one quite easily. Both players have poor recent form here at Sawgrass. Leonard has missed the last 3 cuts, and Rose the last 2.

I reckon Leonard will make the cut though this week as he has arguably never been in better form. 12 tournies played this year and 12 cuts made makes highly impressive reading, and he is as high as 9th on the Fedex points table, and surely another Ryder Cup appearance beckons for the Texan.

His form this year, which includes 5 top tens is in no small way down to his consistency. He is 8th in overall scoring, 10th in driving accuracy ( so important round here with all the water ), 6th in GIR, and 7th in putts per GIR. That reads very well in my book, and he can easily dispose of the englishman who withdrew from his penultimate tournament sighting back injury, and missed the cut last time out, whether his monumental collapse at Augusta ( again ) is playing harder on his mind than first thought is unknown, but we have a very good bet here for Leonard to come out on top.
