Another game fit to handicap here, well the A’s are literally on fire, as we saw yesterday (15-8 at the angels), and that is going to be the main reason for this bet – that and the huge difference in bullpen they face tonight.

If when we see the starting pitchers we see some balance, but it’s apparent, well it’s a fact padila (Texas starting pitcher) made a perfect game in Minnesota last one – he pitched the 9 innings and didn’t allow any run, but being able to do it twice in a roll, I think it’s hard to believe. Padilla had a terrible game before that one (where he only pitched 3 innings, and allowed 8 hits and 7 runs – facing the tigers) – well he wil face tonight a hot batting team most more like the tigers then the Minnesota. So I find it quite hard to believe he does a perfect game, but I find it more believable for him to slump tonight. He has a season ERA of 3.79, on road a ERA of 4.70.

Joe Blanton is the pitcher for the A’s tonight – he is much more reliable, he has a season ERA of 4.07, ERA of 3.81 in home games. Blanton is not a great pitcher but he delivers, and he holds on in the game very long, so expect from him a hard performance allowing maybe 4,5 or 6 runs at most to the texas.

The decive factor will be in this one the two following: first, if Padilla slumps the bullpen from the rangers have been terrible, so with a ERA of 8.77 vs the 2.39 that the bullpen from the A’s has, it’s really bad news for them, so if Padilla screws, then the texas are basically screwed, not a chance. If Padilla holds on in the game the bullpen difference won’t matter that much, but never the less the A’s hitters are doing a lot better the texas batters, so I believe the A’s will win also, in the last 4 games away the texas lost them all – and when they usually lose they lose big. The A’s return home from a very good trip, and they will face a team like texas that hasn’t been doing that great. This handicap seem very nice.
