Looking at this match I see all the points pointing in the same direction – home win. They are going to put a better pitcher, with a better bullpen, they are hitting better, their shape and confidence is better… I know it’s MLB, anything can happen right?, but never the less I couldn’t pass without this bet.

Odalis peres will start in the nationals side – he has a season ERA of 3.31 – a very good start of season- he is motivated and doing a lot of damage on the front lnes lately – he SO 7 in each of the last two games! He has been improving in the last games he pitched, so I expect from him a very steady, confident , and powerful performance.

On the other hand, we have Zach Duke, with a season EA of 5.34, he almost doesn’t SO, and allows a lot of hits in any of his matches – really he has been lucky to face teams that didn’t take advantage of that in a good way, or else his stats would be much worse. So for me I see a big edge on pitching for the nationals, even more big when we see a better bullpen from them – 4.38 vs 6.75.

Washington has a lot more players hitting good lately then the pirates, and with the big edge they have in pitching they should won this one without many problems.
