Very fine odds on teh Belorussian to make one fine tennis combo for today. This is the first meeting of the two, still teenagers of 'the eastern school of tennis', in which Azarenka will have much bigger advantage, especially experience-wise. Victoria is a great fighter, she's already played a couple of tournies on clay this season where she has shown (for her, still pretty mediocre level of play), some very decent performances, and lost exclusively to better players than herself such as Dementieva, Kuznetsova... and I'm sure that she will give her best to easily surpass her first obstacle here in Prague and progress as far as she can.

On the other hand, this is the first match to young Czech on clay this year. She made her by far biggest success in her career by defeating Venus Williams on american hard surface a couple months ago in Memphis semis. In the final then she got defeated by lower-ranked Kudryavtseva. Just recently, she managed to beat Shahar Peer in her country's Davis Cup clash vs. Israel, but at the same time she managed to lose to, again lower-ranked Obziler. So all in all, it's no doubt that this girl possesses quality but she also has several obvious problems: she has a tendency to lose matches where she is a dog to everyone's surprise, and another big problem for her is that it's very difficult to make a successful transition from one surface to another that smoothly in her age and therefore I believe that there a miracle is required for a blonde Petra to make another upset and beat in-form Azarenka.
