I really can’t understand why the A’s are being underdogs in this match. Maybe because of the way the mariners cleaned up the two games series in Oakland a week ago, but from that moment on thing momentums have shifted heavily. Oakland are going on a 4 win games out of 6, while the mariners are going in the opposite direction, with 4 lost out of the last 6 games.

So, not giving to much influence to the wins the mariners got in Oakland a week ago, every other aspect of tonight match will go in the A’s behalf.

Dana eveland is not a great pitcher, far from that – he ahs made some average pitching in his 4 years career, but he has started this season in a great shape – he has a season ERA of 1.90! He had two last games a bit above that, but never the less accounting the way seattle are hitting at the moment, he will have a great chance of keeping these kind of stats in the beginning of the season- I expect him not to be perfect, has he was 3 games ago, but to keep the mariners in a few hits or runs maybe.

On the mariners side, it’s Miguel batista to go on the mound tonight – this is a pitcher of extremes – he either does a perfect match (he has done that last game), or he simply blew it with some terrible performances – but all those matches have something in common, batista allows lots of hits, and the only reason why he kept the angels to no run in 8 innings was a bit a luck, let’s face it – because he allowed 8 hits, and not scoring a single run when you have 8 hits, it’s at least unlucky.

So, from batista I expect a few hits allowed, and the way Oakland A’s are hitting, they are going to take advantage of that much better then the angels did.

Oakland has a much better bullpen 3.48 vs 6.10 and that can be a decisive factor, while hitting Oakland is also a lot better then seattle, so, in my opinion oakland’s handicap should be a good bet tonight.
