Going against the Storm is never a great idea but after them playing on Monday night and having to travel up here to Dairy Farmers to face the Cowboys,I think they can get them here.

Melbourne faced a very commited Raiders side last week and had to stage a big comback to get the points in that match on Monday Night and I have a funny feeling that that might just see the Cowboys home tonight,the Storm have been fantastic at home over the last 4 weeks but their away form like it was last Monday against the Raiders has been a far cry from their home form,they are still very committed to their style of play but away from Olmypic Park they are not getting the calls they do when at home and being the yardstick they must be ready for a hard game every week as that is the way it is when you are defending premiers,every side wants to beat you and that is what the Storm must cope with week in and week out in this comp,and they have dealt with it well for the last few seasons they have been almost unbeatable and although i still very much rate this Storm side I can really see their efforts from Monday Night catching up with them here today.

The Cowboys after a horror start to their season are now on a3 game winning run,they thrashed the Eels and Warriors in their last two home games and beat the Dragons away two weeks ago,the Cowboys biggest problem is'nt their attack it's their defence and although the Warriors could'nt exploit it last week I would'nt be surprised if the Storm can,but the Cowboys at home are not to be messed with and if they come out here firing on all cylynders and there is also reason to believe they will with Rep Jerseys up for grabs and a number of players on both sides looking at that factor that the Cowboys might just imerge victorious,Lets not forget that Slater for Melbourne is the form Fullback of the comp and a likely starter for Queensland up against Bowen who is continually overlooked for Queensland selection,then their is Cronk agaisnt thurston,Cronks holds the Number 7 jersey for the Aussies but Thurston un injured will be out to show that it's his by right tonight and a number of other players for either side are in the running to be looked at closely tonight.

The Storm won both matches against the Cowboys last season including a massive 12-58 win here in Townsville,but the Cowboys have only lost once in their last 3 home matches against the Storm.

Going against the Storm in the last few seasons is not a good idea and backing them to lose to a Cowboys side with as many holesin their dfence as they have is'nt to flash hot either,but I get the impression from the Cowboys that this game is far more important to them than what many of us might think,the Cowboys have had a slow start to their season ans look to be back on track right now,they are winning they are at home and I'm giving tham a very real chance of winning this game outright,I would take the Storm by 12 or less,but I am not prepared to go against the home side in this one...Take the Cowboys with the start and don't be to surprised if they get up for this one...Good Luck
