I was very surprised by these odds, can't understand why bookies underestimated Varteks so much here, especially after another Hajduk's poor display on saturday when they lost to Cibalia who were missing almost half of their first team players. Hajduk is playing very bad at the moment, far below their reputation and ambitions ant they are in deep crisis. I don't have any new infos about injured players yet, only thing sure is that they'll miss their right wing-back Pelaić for the next six months...

Varteks without Mumlek is different team. He was their true leader and much things depended on him. They are young and very perspective team and i can't remember when was some team from Croatia full of so talented players. Many of them will make big careers in the future, i'm sure. Their style is fast football with using both flanks frequently (what could be crucial in this match cause Hajduk's wing back's are their big weakness), and much of running. True, they have still much work to do when it comes to discipline and patience...

Both teams consider this match as most important one in whole season and the only way to the UEFA cup next season. It would be big failure for Hajduk if they don't qualify for the finals but my impression is that they are having much difficulties when playing under pressure. Only match without pressure was the one in Maksimir against Dinamo and they played great there. Varteks is in much better position here, they don't have anything to lose, no one expected them to come this far especially after terrible start in the season. Those youngsters can and will create much troubles for voulnerable hosts, would it be enough for finals, it's hard to say. But massive value is on AW here, and Varteks DNB definetly and i believe that most of other cro tipsters will agree. Big handicap for guests will be absence of captain Mumlek, that's for sure, but, still they have enough weapons to make an upset here.
