Masters in Monte Carlo is lunach! It is first big tournament on clay surface in this season and it's always hard to predict what players will show. Big fellow from Croatia Marin Cilic for me is a very talented youngster, he proved that in matches against Gonzalez, Haase, Mahut, Nishikori. Even if he was playing with top players he did not give up and made huge winning problems for them. I was worried will he play anything good on clay, but as I see he is even more experienced on this surface than Kiefer! Besides of strong service he likes to take a baseliner role and I think this will be enough for Kiefer, who on clay never played anything special (surface record 19-19). H2h is 1:0 for German, in 2007 Marin lost on carpet 0:2, but now he seems to be in better form and as a youngster probably learned more. Kiefer is still searching his game style and maybe on hard I would think on this bet, but on clay Cilic besides he is much younger seems to posses better experience. Good Luck!
