At last the Magpies seem to be getting into some kind of rythym and are starting slowly but steadily to show their potential. Beware the giant may wake up in a couple of years or so. Although to be honest at the moment they seem like miles away from the Big Four. But with the right moves you never know. Kevin Keegan has managed to bond fans and players together and I expect them to play nice attacking football in an attempt to impress the fans. Viduka along with the pacey strikers Martins and Owen can do the trick for Newcastle but let's not forget this is also a Northern local derby and Sunderland are fighting all of their games as they are still involved in the relegation battle.
Stephen Carr will obviously go back to the first XI while Milner has made himself available too. Cacapa & Ramage are not 100% ready while goalkeeper Given is struggling & his presence will be decided on the last minute. Sunderland will miss influential midfielder Etuhu, plus their experienced talisman Dwight Yorke. However plenty of threat and talent left in that Roy's Keanes loyal side. Richardson, Chopra or Jones can still inflict some damage anytime easily. Especially against a Newcastle side who will play open and with a desire to score as many goals as possible.
I expect this one to go over 2.5 goals but I surely preffer the G/G bet to have some safety in the case of a very likely 1-1 draw. I think this game can go many ways. Either a 1-1 draw or maybe 2-2 or even a narrow Newcastle win this is how I see this game mainly because the home boys will be attacking at will. They should concede one from the mighty Sunderland who just fight fight fight till the very end of every single match. I think the visitors is the team that has scored the most late goals in the Premiership.
