Saturday game between Geelong and Sydney at Skilled Stadium should see Geelong make it 5 wins from 5 this season though they won’t have it easy against the Swans despite them missing Barry Hall after his brain snap last week. With Hall out there is no chance the Swans can kick a big score and they will play their ultra defensive style of game attempting to limit Geelong’s output so I expect the winning margin to not be so much.

Last week the Cats flexed a bit of muscle against the Saints taking the game by 42 points with some good kicking for goal and they look as impressive as they did last season. The Swans had a comfortable victory against the Eagles and didn’t need to resort to their strangling style of football that they will have to employ against the Cats. 3 wins and a 2 point loss to the Saints has been a great start to the season for the Swans who have been traditional slow starters.

Geelong has the edge against just about every team in the competition so needless to say they should have the Swans measure. Anything can happen in Swans games where they play that defensive style of football and an upset is possible however Geelong are playing well and Ottens is the only player to come in who could improve the team though Blake and West are doing a solid job in the ruck as it is. While they are playing well with just about a full team in they should win just about all of those matches. The Swans have yet to lose a match in the last 2 seasons (18 losses) by over 40 points mostly due to their defensive style of play that keeps them in all matches and means they are always a chance – the main reason they have had so much success for the past 3 or 4 seasons.

So in a low scoring match the Cats should get it done by under 39.5
