Everton are 5 points behind the Reds and as Moyes stated it is almost impossible as it stands now, to leapfrog the other Liverpool side. Arteta and Osman are doubtfull, Pienaar should be ready and imo Arteta has more chances of playing as he was rested in the 1-1 with Brummies.

Moyes is expected to go into this one with a 4-5-1 again (y not using Yakubu and Johnson at front for once against the big 4?) that is if he finds the midfielders to field those gaps. Chelsea messed it with Wigan conceeding a late goal from the relegation threatened side. Everton will not be that passionate I guess. This is Chelsea's last chance to stay close to Man Utd. before they face each other but it is going to be without their first goal scorer this year, Frank Lampard (18 goals) and Didier Drogba who is injured.

Avraam Grant has lost the plott I reckon, with his contradicting statements so it is just the players left to try for this one alone. Chelsea was not doing bad before they stumpled onto Wigan and I am pretty confident they will catch up where they left.

Strange day Thursday but you have to blaim Sky for that. Anyways neither of the teams play on the weekend so no harm there..The only logical reason I can think of for a Thursday fixture is that less people will get on the favorite..


This is probably going to be an under, scrappy game..I can see Anelka or Joe Cole scoring for the Blues and give them the crucial 3 points. Odds are alright, half stakes seem fair for Chelsea's last chance..
