Valencia and Getafe meet tonight at Vicente Calderon in a Copa del Rey final. Valencia could save their lost season, while Getafe could shrug oil on their UEFA Cup dissapointment, and do what they couldn't get done against Bayern.
I'm gonna touch the turning point straight away. Valencia are probably the most not in form side in La Liga presently. Admittedly, everybody knows they are not in form. It's just peeople still don't realize the problem of a vast proportions they got. To make things clear, it's like knowing you got a disease, but not realizing you're going to grave soon should you stay complacent, sorry for the inappropriate comparison by the way. So having said that, I think they still get overrated, it's like the last Primera round when they got -0.25 against Racing, and again, were outplayed like usually, no wonder they lost, again. And what's more interesting, is that Racing looked very dangerous especially on counters, and Getafe play exactly like this, that's the tactical edge let's say, which bookies never pay attention, by the way.
Getafe...This team is a bunch of average players, but their strenght, and the reason why they win their matches, stands in their smart tactic, hats off for the Laudrup at this point. Last round they were almost +0.25 all of a suddon at home against struggling Zaragoza. It's not hard to make out the mistery, Zaragoza were expected to win because of their position in the standings, their poor football mattered little for the public at large, and those who had backed them should have certainly had thrills in plenty when watching the game and seeing how Getafe were actually the better team on the pitch, not Zaragoza.
Valencia and Getafe are two different teams as far as their current form is concerned, and you can easily guess which team do I favour from my reasons mentioned above. It's at least an even match in my view, but have the feeling Getafe could even outrun my own expectations.
