I'm really intrested in this game here today in the NBA as the Celtics with nothing to play for head to the Gardens in New York to try and swep the Knicks tonight.

The Knicks behind Crawford,Chandler and Richardson have been playing alot better of late and although they went down to the Hawks 104-116 lat time out they still played quite well after a very bad first quarter and even lokked likely to get a win mis way through the third quarter but alas it was not to be,however the Knicks are playing alot better and are playing a good up tempo like game right now,they have nothing to play for but pride and are looking like a team intent on getting some in their remaining matches,while I won't tip the Knicks to win this game outright I do quite fancy them to drive this total high especially at home and even more so against a Celtics side who will probaly be without Garnett,Pierce and Allen for todays game.

Even if the Celtics start without there 3 best payers they are playing under a team of winners this season and that can go along way in matches,the Celtics have been resting their 3 big guns in alot of their matches right now as they have nothing to play for,they have wrapped up the Eastern Confrence and are just biding thier time untill the Post season starts but even with their second string straters they can score points as they have shown and I expect them to score some today against a Knicks side that is allowing just as many points as they are scoring themselves.

Since their earlier season match in which the Celtics kept the Knicks to an awful 59 - 104 los in Boston the Celtics have responded well in their last two games albeit both losses 109-93 loss in New York and a 103 - 11 loss in their most recent match in Boston.The Celtics have not swept the Knicks since 2002-03 but they have won the last 5 matches between these two sides.4 of the last 5 played in New York between these two has resulted in over this total and at home in their most recent 10 games the Knicks have scored more than 90 points in each game and have scored over 100 points in 6 of their last 10 home matches,but they have also allowed more than 100 points in 8 of their last 10 home matches.

If Boston does rest their starters for todays match then I can see a few different senarios to this game,if they rest their starters the Knicks will feel as though they are a real shot in this game and will drive hard for a win,even if Bostons big 3 play they will not play alot of court time and that will also drive the Knicks on in this match,I rate the Knicks as a very big chance today but I like this total a bit more,the Knicks can score as they have shown but so can Rondo,Cassell and Posey as they have shown in games where the Celtics have rested their big 3,the Knicks need one more win to remain better than their worst ever season which was 2 years ago when they lost 59 games and they have'nt many games left to get past that so this game is huge for them,I reckon after the season they have had and the end they are having right now to their season that the Knicks will lay it all on the line in their remaining matches to restore some pride in the famous Knicks singlet and when you consider that these are young players with contracts to play for, that they are actually headed in the right direction but it's just far to late,they have had some good performances of late and won't go down without a fight..Take the Total to go over in this one....Good Luck.
